Position Summary

Under assessment and supervision of the counseling/nursing staff and according to established policies and procedures, performs duties and tasks in a chemical dependency program, maintains clean and safe environment

Responsibilities

• Collect, label, and enter specimens obtained
• Obtain vital signs and weights
• Performs breathalyzer test and urine drug screens
• Appropriate documentation in electronic medical record
• Enters work orders in computer
• Transport patients to meetings/activities
• Order supplies
• Assist with admission, discharges and transfers of patients

Requirements

• Minimum requirement, high school diploma or GED.
• Read, write, and follow verbal or written instructions.
• Maintain CPR certification.
• Obtain/maintain electronic medical record documentation skills
• Work independently and professionally
• Valid Ohio driver's license and driving record
• LMH is accredited by DNV and TJC, and as such, may require specific annual education related to specialty certifications and standards.

***Please note, nursing students who are hired into a patient support role and successfully complete their introductory period may apply for a promotion to Patient Care Assistant-Student Nurse.  This role will provide a $2/hr differential as well as an increase in tuition assistance.  To learn more about this program, please contact Human Resources.
