Senior Mechanical Engineer

Senior Mechanical Engineer BL is growing and seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) to lead and oversee mechanical engineering aspects of MEP projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of MEP Engineering experience and will oversee mechanical aspects of MEP projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards while delivering high-quality designs. This role involves leading engineering efforts, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and mentoring junior engineers. Key Responsibilities Mechanical Systems : develop flow diagrams; perform heat load and static pressure calculations; size equipment and ductwork. Electrical Systems : design basic one-line risers; specify fire alarm devices; develop lighting and control plans; determine power and feeder requirements. Plumbing Systems : select appropriate fixtures; design pipe sizing and routing (sanitary, storm, gas, and domestic); ensure proper venting and service sizing. Fire Protection : design risers and sprinkler head locations. Qualifications 8+ years of MEP engineering experience. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (required). PE license (preferred, but not required). Strong technical aptitude and project management skills. Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
