Nevada State University invites applications for the position of Student Worker - History, Law, and Society for the School of Liberal Arts, Sciences, and Business. The student worker will report to the Chair of the department and assist the Administrative Assistant.

Core Responsibilities:

• Create and/or maintain online and social media accounts for the Department majors and minors.
• Create and maintain department and alumni newsletters.
• Work with the department Administrative Assistant to plan events and faculty meetings and trainings.
• Assist with daily departmental tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be in good academic standing and maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
• Must be enrolled as a degree seeking student with a minimum of 6 credits in the current or upcoming semester at Nevada State.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada State does not sponsor employment-related visas).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the creation and maintenance social media accounts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Basic knowledge of document creation and editing (e.g., Canva, PowerPoint, Adobe, etc.).

Work Hours:

This position will work 15 hours per week. Student employees can work up to 19.5 hours per week.

Hourly Rate:

$12.00 per hour.
