We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Permanent Defense Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This position offers the opportunity to represent clients in a broad spectrum of legal matters, primarily focusing on defense litigation. The successful candidate will work closely with our team of skilled attorneys, handling complex cases and providing outstanding legal services to our clients. This is an exciting opportunity for an attorney who is ready to take their career to the next level, working in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or argue their case.
• Prepare and draft legal documents such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
• Prepare legal briefs and opinions, and file appeals in state and federal courts of appeal.
• Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
• Gather evidence to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.
• Negotiate settlements of civil disputes, mediating between parties to resolve legal conflicts.
• Conduct legal research to aid in the interpretation of laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
• Specialize in defense litigation, including but not limited to, criminal defense, business litigation, products liability, professional liability, medical malpractice, litigation defense, insurance defense, civil litigation, and premises liability.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the state.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in defense litigation.
• Proven background in the specified areas of law: criminal defense, business litigation, products liability, professional liability, medical malpractice, litigation defense, insurance defense, civil litigation, and premises liability.
• Excellent negotiation, advocacy, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong ethical and professional standards.
• Commitment to providing high-quality legal representation to every client.
