Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Full-Time | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a high-acuity cardiac progressive/intermediate care unit with a 1:4–1:5 patient ratio
• Perform post-procedural care for patients following cardiac catheterizations, TAVRs, ablations, pacemaker implantations, and open-heart surgeries including CABGs, MVRs, and AVRs
• Manage post-thoracic surgery patients including VATs/RATs, resections, lobectomies, and chest tube care
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including telemetry, transport monitors, BiPAP, CPAP, heated high-flow oxygen, chest tubes, pacer wires, and IV/feeding pumps
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips including heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, dobutamine, milrinone, and ketamine
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of RNs and PCTs across a 30-bed unit in a fast-paced cardiac center of excellence

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience; at least 1 year of current acute care PCU/progressive care hospital experience required
• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with chest tube management including removal, and pacer wire removal
• Proficiency performing and interpreting 12-lead EKGs
• Experience managing oxygen therapies up to BiPAP and heated high-flow
• Background in vascular surgery post-operative care
