Build rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction. Ensure donor and staff confidentiality. Educate donors about potential hazards and counseling regarding unacceptable test results. Evaluate and manage donor injuries and adverse events. Perform evaluations of illness or medication histories to ensure continued donor suitability. Assist in employee training and administer employee hepatitis vaccination program. Job Requirements Certified/licensed in the current state of employment as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT. Current CPR certification required. Physical requirements: work standing and sitting up to 2–4 hours per day; bending and twisting of neck up to 2 hours; frequent hand movements; precise manual dexterity; foot movements including occasional squatting or crouching; light lifting up to 15 lbs with a maximum lift of 50 lbs; hearing acuity; color vision and vision correctable to specified levels. Ability to communicate and listen effectively; work independently and follow oral or written instructions; perform varied tasks as needed. Work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and potential infectious organisms; exposure to electrical office and laboratory equipment; exposure to extreme cold below 32°F; personal protective equipment required.
