Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm & on call for emergencies.

Location: MacGregor Park – 1065 Woodman Drive, Dayton, OH

Pay: $27.00 per hour. The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant's experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. Benefit Information: ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day direction for onsite maintenance tasks and coordinate with the broader team; the role collaborates with multiple technicians on site.
• Perform and document HVAC and plumbing PM/troubleshooting (filters, belts, coils, leaks, fixtures, basic diagnostics).
• Support basic grounds tasks and seasonal snow/ice response as needed.
• Communicate clearly with client contacts and occupants; provide timely updates, close out work orders, and escalate issues appropriately.

Maintain records of technical knowledge regarding equipment and concepts• Handle heavy workload of calls• Inform customer when arriving at or leaving the job and when planning to return • Manage workload and job scheduling• Promptly and accurately complete all required paperwork • Obtain customer signature on all service reports (before work begins when performing spot jobs)• Keep manager informed of customer feedback• Communicate effectively and promptly• Provide technical training and knowledge as needed to client, customer and team• Collaborate with and across multiple departments and representatives within the Company• When the Supervisor is present, the lead worker may also be responsible for directing smaller work groups • Report team performance issues to the Supervisor

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older• Must possess valid, unexpired driver's license• High School Diploma, GED or suitable equivalent is required

• Three (3) to five (5) years of prior general maintenance experience Preferred Qualifications :• Prior lead or supervisory experience is preferred
