About the Role:

As an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) at Silvis Center Rehab and Care, you will play a vital role in helping our patients regain their independence and confidence. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized treatment plans, utilizing your expertise in occupational therapy to promote functional abilities, prevent disability, and enhance overall well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to identify patient needs and develop targeted treatment plans
• Design and implement individualized occupational therapy programs to promote functional independence, strength, and mobility
• Use a variety of techniques and modalities, including cognitive, sensory, and motor-based interventions
• Collaborate with patients, families, and caregivers to develop strategies for carrying over skills and maintaining progress outside of therapy sessions
• Provide education and training to patients and their support networks to promote optimal functional abilities and health outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of comprehensive care plans

Requirements:

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy (OTR/L) from an accredited program

• Current certification as an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) in the state of Illinois
