Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team, working on either the 2nd shift from 2:55 pm to 11 pm, Monday through Friday, or the 3rd shift from 10:55 pm to 7 am, Monday through Friday. Occasional weekend work may be required as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, dismantle, maintain, set up, and adjust machinery.
• Mechanically service equipment including ventilation, heating systems, facility repairs, pipelines, plumbing, fittings, and hydraulics as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and correct mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical problems, including both low and high voltage as well as controls.
• Analyze circuits, wiring diagrams, and drawings to install, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, service, or replace electronic devices and systems.
• Perform varied mechanical, electrical, and plumbing duties on equipment and throughout the facility.
• Conduct preventive maintenance checks on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
• Use various testing devices on equipment after repairs or adjustments.
• Perform weekly start-ups and/or shutdowns of equipment in accordance with company safety procedures.
• Practice safe de-energization of equipment, including multiple energy sources and machine-specific lockout tag out methods.
• Demonstrate the ability to use industrial maintenance tools and/or willingness to train to obtain skills to perform duties such as multiple welding applications, use of cutting torch, plasma cutter, testing devices, and various industrial shop, power, and hand tools.
• Contribute to team projects by accurately completing individual assignments.
• Perform on-the-job training to new employees.
• Participate in required training.
• Operate various PIV equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting production in emergency situations.

• Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Effective presentation skills to communicate information to other employees.
• Mathematical skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Strong ability to use measurement tools.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to execute instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Good understanding of production procedures and best practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment from blueprints, schematics, or digital devices.
• Must perform duties while observing all OSHA-compliant and company safe work practices and procedures.

• Experience with industrial maintenance tools such as welding applications, cutting torch, plasma cutter, and various power and hand tools.
• Ability to train new employees and participate in ongoing training.

Work Environment

The work environment is clean and equipped with ventilation systems. While heat can be pumped in during winter, there is no air conditioning. The position requires 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, with occasional twelve-hour shifts to cover absences, planned vacations, and weekend work anticipated in a maintenance role.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Mount Airy, NC.

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $68640.00/yr.

11 paid holidays, both PTO and vacation hours, 401k with company matches up to 6% of gross wages on the 91st day. We also offer very affordable benefits’ package available at 30 days. Employees have three plans to choose from.

This is a fully onsite position in Mount Airy,NC.

This position is anticipated to close on Jul 6, 2026.
