About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of Finance to join its team. The successful candidate will be a strategic advisor and hands-on leader, responsible for the financial management operations of the organization. This includes budgeting, accounting, payroll, and reporting. The VP of Finance will also be involved in financial forecasting, preparing and presenting financial reports, and ensuring the integrity of financial data across all departments. A key aspect of the role is to partner with the Development Operations team to align financial reporting with fundraising efforts and to manage relationships with external financial entities. Applicants for the VP of Finance position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance, with a Master’s degree and/or CPA preferred. A minimum of 10-12 years of progressive nonprofit financial management experience is required, with a proven track record in financial strategy, budgeting, audits, and compliance oversight. The role demands a leader with advanced proficiency in MS Office, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a passion for conservation and outdoor heritage, be entrepreneurial, and demonstrate integrity, wisdom, and a collaborative spirit.
