As a Security Officer Concierge in San Diego, CA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.55 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, visitor processing, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor lobby and reception areas, greet employees, guests, and vendors, and verify identification and/or access credentials in line with location protocols.
• Answer questions, manage visitor logs, issue temporary badges or credentials, and communicate with site contacts regarding arrivals, deliveries, and/or access requests.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Support a professional front desk presence within a fast-paced office location by helping to deter unauthorized access and maintaining awareness of activity in entry areas and common spaces.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
