Position Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments for patients of all ages, utilizing both standardized tests and observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment strategies aimed at achieving both immediate and prolonged goals concerning communication, cognition, and swallowing.
• Implement personalized speech therapy sessions targeting language, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing function.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to foster comprehensive care.
• Provide educational resources for patients and families to support ongoing improvement outside of appointments.
• Attend to rare inpatient speech therapy assessments, ensuring seamless integration throughout the therapy process.
• Ensure all documentation is precise and completed timely, in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in the field through continuing education and collaboration with peers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet accredited by ASHA.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is desirable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
