Charge Nurse, Cardiac

Coordinate functions and activities related to a single departmental function Manage and coordinate operations for a clinic unit Coordinate RN scheduling Act as liaison with pre-hospital providers, medical and nursing staff, hospital administration, and other customers Develop and implement plans and processes to meet regulatory requirements Train and mentor staff Provide patient care according to designated standards and practices Monitor and evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of patient care Make assignments, delegate, and supervise care provided by RNs, LPNs, and CNAs Manage day-to-day staffing decisions based on patient needs and caregiver skill levels Assist with orientation of new team members Schedule daily departmental activities, including breaks and staffing adjustments Coordinate completion of orientation competency checklists and annual employee competencies Interact with customers to assure professional staff conduct Track customer service performance and take corrective action when needed Perform other related duties as assigned Requirements Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school Two years of relevant clinical nursing experience License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona CPR certification ACLS required upon orientation completion for applicable departments, including Cardiac Cath Lab Effective interpersonal and communication skills Ability to effectively implement change and assist with departmental budget management Ability to independently make decisions in high-stress situations BSN preferred Management experience with two years of supervisory experience preferred Certification in specialty area of practice preferred Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in clinical nursing operations, including staff management, patient care coordination, and regulatory compliance.
