We are looking for a talented Commissioning Engineer, MCHT to join our dedicated Data Center/High-Tech Facilities Team. In this role, you will perform mission-critical and high-tech facilities commissioning-based services with a primary focus on standalone commissioning. You will also consult on and manage commissioning projects as developed and defined in project agreements with clients. Additional Responsibilities 1. Plan, coordinate, and execute commissioning activities for mechanical, electrical, and associated systems. 2. Testing and Verification: Develop and execute commissioning plans, conduct performance tests, verify control systems, and ensure that mechanical systems meet design specifications and operational requirements. 3. Quality Control: Identify and report deviations from standards or project specifications, working to ensure that mechanical systems are built and maintained to the highest quality standards. 4. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of commissioning activities, test results, and discrepancies. Prepare detailed reports for management and regulatory compliance. 5. Safety and Compliance: Ensure that mechanical systems adhere to relevant industry regulations, standards, and safety guidelines, such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and local building codes. 6. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional project teams, engineering teams, vendors, and contractors to coordinate commissioning activities, resolve issues, and ensure successful project delivery. 7. Problem Resolution: Investigate and diagnose mechanical system issues, working with relevant teams to implement effective solutions, troubleshoot problems, and optimize system performance. 8. Training and Support: Provide guidance and training to data center staff and operators on the proper use and maintenance of mechanical systems. 9. Preventive Maintenance: Assist in planning and implementing preventive maintenance programs for mechanical systems to minimize downtime and maximize reliability. 10. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements 1. Bachelor's degree in engineering or related military or previous field experience. 2. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and local building codes. 3. Able to read and interpret construction drawings and one-line drawings. 4. OSHA 10 and First Aid/CPR certification (IPS will provide tools) must be maintained during employment. Preferred Qualifications 1. Commissioning and System startup experience. 2. 5+ years of experience in data center commissioning. Physical Demands 1. Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods. 2. Must possess the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as required. 3. Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. 4. Must be able to climb ladders as necessary. Work Environment 1. Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, which may include exposure to varying working conditions. 2. Must be able to adhere to strict cleanroom gowning protocols. Travel 1. Travel based on the project location. 2. Must be willing to travel up to 75% of the time. 3. Travel will be per the IPS Travel Policy, client-specific travel policy, or project-specific travel plan. 4. Must have access to reliable transportation. Safety 1. This position is a safety-sensitive position. 2. The employee is designated for field work and attends activities at client sites where they work in construction, process, packaging, manufacturing, research, or other "non-administrative" areas. About Us The salary offered for this role is between $102,550 and $136,700, but the actual salary offered is dependent on experience, skill set, and education. Additional Incentives: 1. Pay for certifications 75% and give raises after completion. 2. Pay $5,000 referral bonuses 3. Reimburse one industry membership fee 100% per year like AFCOM and BCxA. 4. Pay billable overtime after 40 hours at a straight time rate - even as an exempt salary employee. 5.
