Job Summary:
Critical Care Registered Nurse specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) located in West Burlington, Iowa. This travel position involves delivering comprehensive patient care for adult cardiac and telemetry patients, stroke, vascular intervention, and hemodynamic monitoring. Candidates must review telemetry strips and pass a basic dysrhythmia assessment during the first week to qualify for ICU-CCU units.

Job Details:

• Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Education and experience: Minimum of 0 years of experience required, with at least 3 years preferred. Clinical experience within the last 12 months in a similar unit is necessary.
• Locations: West Burlington, Iowa, United States
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with an estimated workweek of 36 hours plus potential overtime
• Required Qualifications: Relevant certifications (BLS, ACLS, NIHSS), ICU or telemetry experience within last 12 months, ability to respond to call within one hour during occasional call periods, and willingness to self-study telemetry strips and pass a dysrhythmia test during the first week of assignment
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in collaboration with the healthcare team, providing high-quality care to adult cardiac, stroke, vascular intervention, and hemodynamic monitoring patients. Every other weekend and holiday rotations are required; occasional on-call duty may be assigned during low census periods.
