Production Processing - Technician - 2nd Shift

Processing Technician – Large Batch Kitchen OperatorEnsure large batches of product are made according to standards in industrial size cookers.Starting at $18.50/hourAccurately weigh minor ingredients into pails (brutes) per instructions on batch sheet. Assemble ingredients per batch sheet onto pallets along with pails and timely completion of all required production documentation. Included in overall duties is to take samples, record and report accurate measurements and counts, transfer ingredients, as well as maintain safe and sanitary conditions throughout plant. Requires close communication and coordination with production supervisor, process operators, scheduling, quality assurance, maintenance, and warehousing.The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:Able to accurately weigh (scale) proper ingredients into pails (20# -100#)Able to operate control systems to draw ingredients for weighing.Able to read and understand production schedules, mixing formulations, various product labels, ingredient contents and proportions.Able to follow safe work habits regarding lifting and material safety.Safely operate pallet jack and walk-behind forklift to move materials.Communicate clearly with others in support positions.Take the initiative to organize and accurately perform all job functions required to meet volume and quality of product scheduled.Take action necessary to insure continuous product flow.Communicate clearly with others in process and support positions.Complete required production pick plans.Regular attendance is an essential part of this function.Accurately transfer ingredients.Coordinate area cleaning so that work is done efficiently and correctly.Follow and adhere to safety, operating, SQF, and GMP proceduresOther functions as required.Management retains the discretion to change these duties at any time without notification.What's in it for you:10 Paid HolidaysMed/Dental/Vision after 30 days401 Match after 90 daysAccrued VacationFree Uniform ServiceSteel Boot Reimbursement ProgramThe Ideal Candidate Will have:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.Knowledge of formulation processes in a manufacturing environment a plus.Successful Attributes:Initiative to organize and accurately perform all job functions.Ability to effectively work at line speeds in accordance with company production standards.Curious, with desire to continuously learn and to support continuous improvement.Possesses a strong attention to detail.Self-starter with the capacity to work with minimal supervision as well as work as part of a team.Can easily adapt to change in the work environment.Physical Attributes:Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.Regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds.Read and interpret documents.Must be able to accurately perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division functions as required for efficient materials management and production.Sauer Brands, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
