Senior AI Software EngineerSoftware Resources has an immediate, long term contract job opportunity for a Senior AI Software Engineer with a major corporation in Celebration, FL. Onsite 2 days per week (Wednesday-Thursday); subject to change.We are seeking an experienced software engineer contractor to help design, build, and scale AI-enabled applications, automations, and platform capabilities across enterprise systems and workflows. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who can move quickly, write high-quality production code, and apply modern AI patterns in practical business contexts. The contractor will partner with technical and business stakeholders to deliver solutions that improve internal productivity, streamline processes, enhance user experiences, and accelerate delivery. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with experience building integrations, services, and intelligent workflows using contemporary AI tools and platforms.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software solutions that support business and operational prioritiesBuild AI-enabled applications and services using large language models, orchestration frameworks, APIs, and enterprise data sourcesDevelop backend services, system integrations, and workflow automations across internal platformsTranslate business needs into technical designs and working softwareRapidly prototype new capabilities, then harden successful concepts for production useBuild tools that support use cases such as summarization, intelligent search, content generation, workflow assistance, classification, and recommendationsIntegrate AI capabilities responsibly with appropriate controls for quality, security, privacy, and observabilityPartner with product managers, analysts, architects, and business stakeholders to define requirements and solution approachesCreate clean, maintainable, well-documented code and participate in code reviews and technical design discussionsTroubleshoot issues across development, test, and production environmentsContribute to engineering standards, reusable components, and best practices for AI-enabled application developmentRequired Qualifications:Strong software engineering experience building and supporting production applicationsProficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, or DartExperience building and consuming REST APIs and integrating with enterprise systemsExperience with cloud platforms and modern application architecture patternsHands-on experience with AI/ML or generative AI application developmentStrong understanding of software design, testing, debugging, version control, and deployment practicesExperience with data processing, transformation, and working with structured and unstructured dataAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality outcomes with limited oversightStrong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience building enterprise AI applications such as employee-facing assistants, document Q&A tools, search experiences, or workflow automation solutionsExperience with cloud-native services in AWS, Azure, or Google CloudExperience with containerization and deployment technologies such as Docker and KubernetesFamiliarity with front-end frameworks such as Flutter or AngularUnderstanding of secure development practices, access controls, and enterprise governance requirementsExperience operating in large, matrixed enterprise environmentsDesired Traits:Practical and delivery-oriented, with a strong bias toward executionComfortable navigating ambiguity and refining requirements through iterationAble to balance rapid prototyping with long-term maintainabilityThoughtful about where AI adds value and where conventional software patterns are more appropriateStrong collaborator who can work effectively across technical and non-technical teamsRequired Education: Bachelor'sAbout Software Resources:Software Resources, founded more than 3 decades ago, is a trusted staffing partner specializing in Technology (IT, Creative, & Marketing), Finance, & Accounting placements.
