Physical Therapist PRN

Job Overview The Physical Therapist I provides physical therapy services including evaluation, treatment, follow‑up, and documentation using general competencies for inpatient and outpatient children referred to the physical therapy department. The role includes supervision for PT aides/assistants and students with specific tasks and/or patients, continuous consultation and education to families, and entry‑level placement in a Career Advancement Program (CAP). Additional Information Location/Dept: Colorado Springs Hospital IP PT Job Details: PRN – not eligible for benefits Shift: Variable, primarily weekend and holiday coverage, minimum of 1 weekend a month and 2 holidays, rotating coverage. Essential Functions Collaborate with family, physicians, schools, and other providers to ensure continuity of care and optimal clinical services, including consultation and education to families. Complete written documentation in accordance with department standards for format, location, and time frames. Independently evaluate patients with a variety of diagnoses in specialized programs on inpatient and/or outpatient units, incorporating principles of cultural‑competence and family‑centered care. Assist in achieving departmental financial budget targets. Demonstrate leadership and participate in systematic, planned professional development to improve clinical, educational, research, and advocacy goals of the department and hospital. Consult and educate families. Treat children across the continuum with a variety of diagnoses in specialized programs on inpatient and outpatient units and in the community, seeking appropriate mentoring/training for complex patient diagnoses. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or related field. Experience: Experience in Acute Care Pediatrics preferred. Certification: BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPR. License: State of Colorado DORA Physical Therapist license; credentialing must be completed within 3 months of employment. Salary Information Pay is dependent on applicant’s relevant experience. Hourly Range: $37.82 to $56.73.
