This position offers a unique opportunity to provide care to a diverse patient population in a challenging and rewarding environment.Key Responsibilities\n \n Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients, including initial assessment and management of trauma patients in the ER.\n Administer medications and treatments, including IV medication, fluid and blood administration, with a focus on geriatric patients.\n Collaborate with healthcare team members to create and implement patient care plans.\n Read and interpret telemetry strips and respond accordingly.\n Utilize team nursing approach to manage patient assignments effectively.\n Float to MedSurg and Swing Bed as required, ensuring continuity of patient care.\n Unit Information\n \n Department: ER / MedSurg / Swing Bed\n Trauma Level: Critical Access (Rural Location)\n Number of Beds: 25\n Nurse:Patient Ratio: 1:8, utilizing team nursing\n Common Patient Diagnoses: Dementia, dependent older adults, diabetes, rehab/restorative care post acute illness, COVID, and initial care for trauma patients.\n Qualifications\n \n Minimum of 1 year of RN experience preferred.\n Valid certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC.\n Experience with dementia, geriatric patient care, and IV management.\n Ability to titrate medications and manage common drips, including electrolytes, hypertensive medications, and IV antibiotics.\n Previous travel experience not required.\n Schedule & Requirements\n \n Shift Length: 12-hour shifts, including night shifts.\n Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week.\n Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.\n Holiday Requirement: Alternating/As scheduled.\n Self-Scheduling: Team scheduling with the possibility of block scheduling upon request.\n Floating Requirements: Support in ER/MedSurg as needed.\n Orientation\n \n Three shifts of unit-specific orientation will be provided to ensure comprehensive preparation for the role.\n Dress Code\n Scrubs are to be worn, with no specific color requirement.\n If you are a passionate and skilled RN looking to make a positive impact in patient care, we encourage you to apply and be part of our dedicated team in [City, State].\n \n Thrive Staffing Job ID #19166143.
