Position: Lead Manufacturing Quality Control Inspector Location: Souderton, PA Job Id: 246 # of Openings: 0 Why You’ll Love Working Here Competitive compensation with growth and advancement opportunities Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, PTO, holidays) Family-owned company with 65+ years of manufacturing excellence Collaborative, safety-focused culture built on integrity and accountability Opportunity to make a visible impact on product quality and manufacturing performance Stable company with custom engineered products serving multiple industries What You’ll Do Production Floor Quality Leadership Serve as the primary quality presence on the production floor, supporting fabrication and manufacturing teams Perform and oversee in-process and final inspections to verify product conformance Determine product disposition when quality concerns arise Act as the go-to quality resource for operators, supervisors, and production leadership Support real-time decision-making during quality events or production issues Non-Conformance & Corrective Action Lead identification, documentation, and investigation of non-conforming materials or products Own NCR processes from issue discovery through closure Partner with Production and Engineering on root cause analysis and corrective actions Verify corrective actions are effective and sustainable Escalate recurring or critical issues appropriately Quality Systems & Continuous Improvement Maintain inspection tools and calibration programs to ensure equipment accuracy and compliance Monitor quality trends and analyze data to identify improvement opportunities Support development and revision of SOPs, work instructions, and inspection processes Participate in internal audits and quality system reviews Help drive a culture of accountability, quality ownership, and continuous improvement Cross-Functional Support Assist with new product introduction (NPI), blueprint reviews, and quality validation activities Support qualification, validation, and change-control initiatives as needed Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Leadership teams Provide training and guidance to production personnel on quality standards and expectations What We’re Looking For Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Associate degree or technical training preferred 3+ years of quality control / inspection experience in a manufacturing environment Experience working directly with production teams on the shop floor Experience handling non-conforming materials and corrective actions processes Technical Skills & Knowledge Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and inspection equipment Understanding of root cause analysis tools such as 5 Why or A3 methods Familiarity with calibration systems and quality documentation Working knowledge of manufacturing processes such as fabrication, machining, welding, or assembly preferred Professional Skills Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency Ability to make decisions independently in a fast-paced environment Confident communicator who can hold quality standards while partnering with operations Strong organizational and follow-through skills Ability to manage multiple priorities at once Hands‑on, practical problem solver with leadership presence Combination of office and industrial manufacturing environments Exposure to machinery, noise, dust, and active production areas PPE required in designated areas Occasional overtime may be needed based on production schedules Physical Demands Regular movement throughout office and manufacturing floor environments Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb as needed Ability to use hands and arms for measuring, inspecting, and handling components Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally Ability to stand for extended periods during inspections Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and moving machinery About CHL Systems For more than 65 years, CHL Systems has been a trusted leader in designing and manufacturing custom automation and material handling solutions.
