Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill cardiac and surgical patients in a high-acuity ICU environment.
• Care for patients recovering from open-heart procedures, cardiac surgery, and other complex cardiovascular interventions.
• Manage patients requiring advanced monitoring, mechanical support devices, ventilator management, vasoactive medications, and other critical care therapies.
• Perform frequent assessments and recognize changes in patient condition requiring immediate intervention.
• Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide post-operative management, including hemodynamic monitoring, pain management, medication administration, and patient/family education.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to manage complex patient needs and support positive outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
• Current valid North Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact license required.
• One year of ICU, critical care, or relevant acute care nursing experience preferred.

What We're Looking For:

• Education :4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience : One year relevant experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
