Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry

Schedule

Nights - 12-hour shifts: 7 PM - 7 AM / 7 AM - 7 PM rotation. 36 and 48 hours per week available, with 1 weekend shift required per week, or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend. Must work at least 1 holiday per contract.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg Telemetry unit. This position involves providing high-quality patient care within a 40-bed unit, ensuring the well-being and comfort of patients under your supervision. You will be responsible for monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare providers to develop comprehensive care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data to provide timely interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist with patient education about health management and care plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including floating to other units as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of recent experience in acute medical-surgical/telemetry nursing required.
• Minimum of 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.
• Active NY RN license.
• AHA BLS certification.

Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.
