Details discussed during the interview process.Department: TelemetryEmployment Type: Full TimeShifts Available: DaysHours: 12 hourLocation: Dallas Regional Medical Center – Mesquite, TXWe are seeking a Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN), sometimes referred to as a Telemetry RN or Tele RN. A Tele RN specializing in attending to patients within our telemetry units, including those needing cardiac monitoring. The Tele RN will monitor and interpret our patient's vital signs, such as heart rate, heart rhythm, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation level. Continuous monitoring of patients, by the Telemetry RN enables gathering real-time data to make informed decisions regarding patient care, ensuring early detection of abnormalities or changes in the patient's condition.ResponsibilitiesAssess patients' conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall health status, to create individualized care plansMonitor patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment, which allows for remote monitoring of patients' heart rates and rhythmsCommunicate with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatologyAdminister medications as prescribed by physicians, including intravenous medications, and monitor patients for any adverse reactionsProvide hands-on care to patients, including wound care, administering treatments, assisting with activities of daily living, and providing emotional supportEducate patients and their families about their conditions, medications, and treatments, as well as provide guidance on self-care practices and lifestyle modifications in the Telemetry UnitRespond quickly to changes in patient conditions throughout shift and be able to address any concerns to the physician as soon as possibleResponsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluationHere are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare:Health, dental, and vision insurance optionsPaid vacation, sick time and holidaysBereavement leave, FMLA and other leave optionsEmployer 401K optionsTuition reimbursement optionsLife, disability, and other insurance optionsMany other amazing benefitsQualifications:Current and valid state RN License.Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain currentAdditional Qualifications That Are a Plus:Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.Ventilator Management experience preferred.Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.Employment Status: Full TimeShift: DaysEqual Employment Opportunity: Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.
