Data Analyst

The Data Analyst will support energy data reporting requirements by compiling monthly and quarterly metrics. They will collect, organize, and analyze data related to municipal service contracts, base maintenance activities, utility usage, and energy consumption. The Data Analyst will assist in developing dashboards, spreadsheets, and visual reports to support decision making.

This position will report to our office location at Redstone Arsenal.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Data Analytics & Reporting
• Collects, organizes, and analyzes data related to municipal service contracts, base maintenance activities, utility usage, and energy consumption.
• Assists in developing dashboards, spreadsheets, and visual reports to support decision making.
• Reviews utility billing and contractor invoices for accuracy and identifies discrepancies or trends.
• Supports energy data reporting requirements by compiling monthly and quarterly metrics.

Minimum Qualifications:

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Basic understanding of data analysis, statistics, or business analytics.
• Ability to work with spreadsheets, databases, and visualization tools (Excel, Power BI, or similar).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in data.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with technical and administrative staff.
• Ability to follow instructions, manage multiple tasks, and meet established deadlines.

Additional Qualifying Factors:

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening (post accepted offer) and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust vision.

Working Conditions:

The job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily in a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.
