Commercial Banking Administrative Specialist 1

Job Summary The Commercial Banking Administrative Specialist (BBAS) works closely with lenders and portfolio managers on prospects and current credits, serving as the front‑line ambassador for Centier Bank to business banking clients and assisting them with loan inquiries and transactional needs. The CBAS manages a loan request from inception, through application, booking, and loan document distribution, ensuring compliance with consumer and commercial lending laws, bank policies, and procedures. Essential Duties Provide high‑quality, friendly, and professional service to clients; establish rapport, identify their needs, recommend solutions, and handle objections. Master the current credit software system for loan submissions and gather follow‑up information for credit analysts. Assist with complex loan requests, including attorney‑prepared documents, SWAPs, C&I, leases, and SBA loans. Review loan requests for lending authority, bank policy, and applicable laws. Collect and review title work, judgment and lien searches, appraisals, surveys, flood certifications, insurance, entity documents, and correspondence. Place documentation in the image storing system; route credit requests to the CDP for loan preparation. Review completed documents before closing for accuracy, coordinate with outside legal counsel for attorney‑prepared loans, and manage closing schedules. Prepare tickets for loan proceeds and fees. Handle non‑complex loan closings when the lender is absent, attend closings at title companies, and process client‑requested transactions. Assist lenders with loan delinquencies and renewals, and gather ongoing financial information from clients. Other Duties Assist in special duties delegated by loan officers, supervisors, or committees; refer clients to specialists in other departments for bank products and services; maintain confidentiality; attend seminars, AIB classes, or other educational opportunities; and engage in personal development activities. Maintain a professional appearance and work area in accordance with the Dress Code and Clean Desk Policies. Follow the Essentials of Excellence and demonstrate Corporate Values in all transactions. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Detail oriented; well organized with multi‑tasking ability; excellent communication and customer service skills; proactive, not reactive. Proficient with loan scoring software, loan documentation, and Microsoft Office Suite. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma. 1–2 years of banking experience with commercial lending preferred. Internal Pay Level6. Minimum hourly rate $19.00.
