This position reports to the Director IT of OIT/EARC Student Information System (SIS). Among the key duties of this position are the following: Serves as a key developer and team lead for all aspects of software development lifecycle including tools, methodology and best practices for the SIS Transformation project and accountable for the implementation and support of the next generation of the Rutgers enterprise student information system and services on Oracle Fusion Cloud ecosystem. Stays current on emerging technologies and leading approaches in Higher Education, leading and driving project discussions and technical workshops and interacting with third-party vendors. Plans, coordinates and executes spans across multiple disciplines to develop robust, holistic solutions for project assignments. Performs a wide variety of tasks, including recommending and architecting new technology solutions, defining configuration and extension standards along with technical approaches for conversions, interfaces, and reports. This position is also a key contributor to the ongoing EARC's evolution and development of cloud computing strategies, roadmaps, and plans. Knowledgeable in version control with Git and GitLab. Familiar with bug tracking systems (JIRA), and collaborative software (Confluence, Slack, MS Teams). Experience with automated development/test tools (SoapUI, Postman API Platform, and browsers developer tools. Hands-on development of packages and functions using SQL/PLSQL and exposing them as REST endpoints. Familiar with Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies (Shibboleth, OAuth).
