This position will be part of a team working on Docusign's Platform that's responsible for high scale and low latency service. The service will deliver a No-Code Business Process Automation framework that allows administrators or delegates to build agreement management workflows without having to have any coding experience. This position will demand critical thinking skills, ability to quickly understand existing systems and the ability to work in agile environments. The ability to take smart and educated risks is essential to the success of this position. If you have all that and a passion for building quality experiences to make it easier for customers to manage their users of Docusign, then we want to talk to you!This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Manager of Engineering.ResponsibilityDesign, develop, and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant full-stack systems across backend services and front-end applicationsBuild high-quality, production-ready code with comprehensive test coverage for both backend and frontend layersImplement web-scale services using microservices principles and containerized cloud technologies, while creating intuitive front-end interfaces that allow customers to configure business processes without coding expertiseCollaborate with Product Management, UX designers, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into end-to-end solutions, providing accurate development estimatesWork as part of a cross-site development team to drive design, implementation, testing, and release of full-stack featuresParticipate in the entire software lifecycle, including version control, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and regional cloud deploymentsExplore and adopt new technologies and best practices to improve system performance, maintainability, and user experienceJob DesignationHybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Docusign reserves the right to change a position's job designation depending on business needs and as permitted by local law.What you bringBasicBachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Informatics, or equivalent5+ years of software development experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of experience with a Master's degreeExperience with data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentalsExperience with backend languages (C#, Go, Java, Node.js) and frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js, TypeScript, JavaScript)Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIsPreferredHands-on experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP) and deploying full-stack applications in productionFamiliarity with cloud-native services, containerized applications (Kubernetes, Docker), and microservices architecturesKnowledge of end-to-end testing, including unit tests, integration tests, and frontend automated testsExperience with high-scale distributed systems and fault-tolerant design principlesStrong problem-solving, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skillsExperience with Agile methodologies, Test-Driven Development (TDD), CI/CD pipelines, and regional cloud deploymentsPassion for learning and applying new full-stack technologies and frameworksWage TransparencyPay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:California: $146,400.00 - $235,375.00 base salaryWashington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $140,100.00 - $206,775.00 base salaryThis role is also eligible for the following:Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals.
