Operations Coordinator

Christian Recovery Centers Inc

Job Description

Job Description

Description:

Overview: As a growing 501 C3, Non-profit organization, CRCI is always looking for new talented individuals who can be an addition to its efforts. It is the desire of CRCI management that each person involved with the organization (paid or not paid) has a burden for the lost, the sick, and the suffering. It is also important that all staff members recognize that they are a representative of CRCI and that their actions will affect the community's outlook upon it. Staff is a representation of the CRCI program, and it is expected that they will conduct themselves in a manner that will promote and elevate the image of CRCI to the community. Any behavior that promotes a negative image of the organization is unacceptable.

Position Overview: Primary support for program Director of Operations (DOO) concerning all logistical matters. Assists in and supports the day-to-day and long-term operational activities of Christian Recovery Centers Inc. programs. The Operations Coordinator at Christian Recovery Centers Inc. (CRCI) plays a pivotal role in the seamless coordination of volunteers, logistics, facility and vehicle management, and schedules. Reporting to the DOO, this position plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety and functionality of facilities and vehicles. The Operations Coordinator serves as a liaison between the program and the development department, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Additionally, as the supervisor of food services staff, the role involves overseeing menu planning and maintaining strong relationships with donor partners and various community resources. This position is responsible for scheduling all external and internal activities and working closely with the other departments to ensure that reasonable measures are taken to uphold program standards.

Agreed Upon Basic Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Operations in all aspects of facility operations.
  • Actively promote environments for residents to receive Christ openly.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate tasks to ensure the successful operations of the campus, as well as maintenance, training, and food services.
  • This position should be filled by a person who has (or can obtain within 90 days) a CPR and ServSafe certification, which CRCI will fund (pending supervisor approval).
  • Supervise and train direct reports to fulfill their roles and responsibilities as efficiently and effectively as possible. Submit supervisor notes, recommendations, and performance reviews through the CRCI data management system.
  • Be present whenever possible at the start of all scheduled activities to ensure that they are happening at the correct time and to the standard of CRCI.
  • Ensure that notes are submitted after every class and meeting, both group and individual.
  • Oversee scheduling for the week in advance with the other departments to prevent and resolve potential issues. Manage RSVP responses and send reminders to invitees prior to the start of events.
  • Participate in the bi-weekly Resident Meeting schedule and minister to residents appropriately.
  • Ensuring that the maintenance department has necessary resources allocated to them and that they have all of their activities planned each week. Purchasing for maintenance should take place at the same time as any food services purchasing. Submitting online orders and scheduling pickup is the preferred method.
  • Relay any programming issues to the DOO. Anything that will create a stressful environment, safety concern, or interrupt care of the residents are considered imminent dangers that your supervisor should be made aware of.
  • Maintain positive reinforcement strategies for the residents, including Recreation days, excellence party celebrations, and maintain tracking of individual awards.
  • Manage and maintain the cleanliness of campuses and vehicles assigned to your program.
  • Complete monthly maintenance reports for all buildings and vehicles assigned to your program and follow up on notable items.
  • Submit maintenance repair/renovation requests as needed and follow up.
  • Update all graduate check-in profiles as needed.
  • Promote internship programs with residents and help develop potential candidates that could possibly be a benefit to the residents and program. Train direct report(s), LDI participants, and senior residents to fulfill tasks assigned to your department to ensure continuity while you are out of the office or unavailable.
  • Participate in the training and mentoring of current and future participants of the LDI and senior resident program. CRCI programs are a training ground for those who are interested in pursuing employment and/or training in the field of addiction recovery.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Employees must agree without reservation with the corporation's recovery philosophy
  • Must be age 18 or older
  • US citizen or legally eligible for employment in the United States of America
  • Willing to actively improve oneself by openly receiving correction and/or feedback related to professional and personal shortcomings without bias. In addition, employees will make an effort to evaluate this feedback wholeheartedly and make a concerted effort to implement strategies to eliminate offending behavior
  • In personal recovery, the following requirements will apply:
  • Successful completion of a recovery program
  • Active participation or completion of a 12-step program required
  • Must maintain an active relationship with a 12-step sponsor and follow all guidelines
  • Attend any additional training/activities required by the supervisor for the benefit of personal recovery
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Can be obtained during employment through the employee education program (participation required if employed without diploma or equivalent)
  • High School equivalency program (HiSET) offered at no cost to employees
  • Valid Driver’s Licence preferred. Certain MVR restrictions may apply for driving company vehicles. Providing transportation to residents may be required for this position
  • Prior experience with addiction recovery preferred, whether personal, professional, or by association

Lifestyle Requirements:

Being that CRCI is a Christian ministry that represents the fundamental ideology of a Christian Recovery Center, all Resident Care staff should live in a way that sets a positive example to residents and to the community. Staff members should display these positive traits both on and off duty. Due to the nature of this example, applicants who wish to join the resident care staff are required to meet certain criteria. CRCI leadership highly values the biblical principle that our physical bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and should be kept pure. Staff members should strive to maintain healthy lifestyles, as this glorifies God and models the teaching of the Christian Bible. Examples of unhealthy lifestyles include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Use or possession of tobacco/nicotine in public or in any location associated with CRCI
  • Use of Illegal Drugs
  • Drinking alcohol in excess or in public view or in any location associated with CRCI
  • Abuse of OTC and/or prescription medications

Applicants must have abstained from the use of Illegal Drugs for at least 3 months prior to application in order to be eligible for hire. Drug, alcohol, and nicotine screening will be conducted during the interview process. Applicants also attest that they have not abused legal drugs, such as prescriptions or over-the-counter medication, or alcohol for at least the 3 months prior to application in order to be eligible for employment.

In addition, the applicant agrees to:

  • Live by biblical standards
  • Attend and actively support a fellowship of believers regularly
  • Avoid engaging in sexual relations outside of the bounds of a Biblical Christian Marriage
  • Abstain from living with members of the opposite sex to whom they are not married
