We aim to develop and deploy critically needed capabilities that address our customers’ most pressing national security requirements.ABOUT THE JOBWe are looking for a Senior FPGA Engineer to join our rapidly growing team in Reston, Virginia. You will be responsible for rapidly developing, testing, and implementing FPGA designs on Xilinx SoC/FPGA platforms. This requires strong skills in digital circuit design, VHDL/Verilog coding, and simulation. WHAT YOU’LL DOIntegrate third-party vendors IP, as necessary.Participate in entire design life cycle: from requirements and concept, through design and hand on testing/board bring up.Implement a variety of signal types such as high speed comms (ethernet, serial), signal processing (analog, digital).Ensure designs meet all relevant safety and performance standards, with traceability back to top-level system requirements, as necessary.Investigate and resolve bugs found during hand on testing (at HDL level and system level).Requires regular travel (up to 25%) to our Santa Ana location.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelors degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering or related field8+ years of professional experience in FPGA design and development. Experience with Xilinx SoC is highly preferredFamiliarity with design software like Vivado (preferred), ModelSim, or QuartusProficient in VHDL and/or VerilogAbility to work in a fast-paced, challenging environmentExcellent problem-solving and organizational skillsStrong communication and teamwork skillsExperience in SoC hardware bring-up, preferably on ARM-based systemsCurrently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearancePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSWorking knowledge of designing for safety-critical functions.Expert proficiency in SystemVerilog.FPGA interfaces and high speed busses.Experience with systems on a Chip (SoC).Low-level firmware (C/C++) development for bring-up and test.US Salary Range$191,000—$253,000 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
