Forklift OperatorWe are hiring an experienced Forklift Operator to join a busy frozen warehouse operation in Piedmont, SC. This position involves operating a forklift in a cold-storage environment while picking and handling cases of frozen food products.The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.ResponsibilitiesSafely operate a forklift to move and position products throughout the warehousePick and handle cases of frozen food products, including turkeysLoad, unload, stage, and transport product as neededAccurately pick orders according to production or customer requirementsInspect products and pallets for damageMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaFollow all warehouse safety procedures and operating guidelinesWork efficiently to meet daily productivity and order fulfillment goalsPerform additional warehouse duties as assignedQualificationsPrevious forklift operating experience requiredWarehouse or distribution experience preferredAbility to safely operate material-handling equipmentComfortable working in a cold/frozen warehouse environmentAbility to repeatedly lift, carry, push, and pull cases as requiredAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsStrong attention to safety and detailReliable attendance and dependable work ethicAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPhysical Requirements & Work EnvironmentWork is performed in a cold-storage/frozen warehouse environmentAbility to work in cold temperatures for extended periodsFrequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and carryingAbility to handle cases of frozen food productsMust be able to safely perform physical warehouse duties throughout the shiftSchedule & Pay$18.00/hour7:00 AM – 2:30 PMPiedmont, SCFull-time opportunityEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER: Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
