Construction Project EngineerA premier engineering firm in Akron, OH is seeking a Construction Project Engineer. This role is critical for the successful execution of high-profile infrastructure projects, including bridges, industrial complexes, and healthcare facilities. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who excels in construction planning, cost tracking, and field coordination.Key Responsibilities:Pre-Construction & Design: Assist in construction planning, interpret complex drawings, and prepare bid packages and takeoffs.Technical Documentation: Maintain RFI and submittal logs; prepare sketches for change orders and estimates.Financial & Cost Management: Verify work-in-place for invoicing, monitor job costing systems, track force accounts, and assign accurate cost codes.Field Oversight: Support the Superintendent with daily reports, schedule monitoring, and weekly jobsite photography.Compliance & Quality: Ensure all work meets applicable codes and specifications; coordinate inspections and testing.Administrative Leadership: Manage as-built drawings, prepare project status reports, and facilitate project close-out activities.Essential Skills & Qualifications:Education: 4-year Engineering degree or equivalent technical training.Technical Proficiency: Advanced ability to read/interpret plans and blueprints; excellent computer skills.Financial Acumen: Basic understanding of cost analysis and margin reporting.Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for corresponding with owners, architects, and subcontractors.
