Summary The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. The Associate also parks and retrieves guest vehicles, assists guests with luggage, and performs related valet tasks. Essential Functions Maintain a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients (25%). Use a professional salutation of the day, greet guests within five feet, and practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette (10%). Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously, opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests, and assists with bell services and luggage storage as needed (20%). Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries; provides information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions; delivers requested items and shuttles guests to approved locations (10%). Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival, issues claim checks after receiving vehicle keys, maintains all ticket information, calculates revenue for vehicles when required (35%). Qualifications Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Licensure, Certification: Valid driver’s license for the state where the position is located. Work Experience: One (1) month related experience and/or training; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge: Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. Skills: • Ability to read and write standard English language.• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.• Ability to write simple correspondence.• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations.• Ability to add and subtract three‑digit numbers and to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds, including using units of American money.• Understanding of 24‑hour and military time systems.• Understanding of rates applicable to time passed.• Ability to operate a manual transmission and perform parallel parking (highly desirable). Scope, Compensation & Benefits Authority to Act: Job is fairly routine. Incumbent follows established practices and procedures with instructions given and frequent checks. Budget Responsibility: Employee has control only over available resources. Compensation: Hourly base pay range $21 per hour plus tips. Work Schedule: Mon‑Sun PM shifts (2p‑10p & 4p‑8p). Working Conditions & Physical Demands General duties require talking or hearing, sitting or standing for extended periods, running, walking, handling objects, reaching with hands and arms, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. Lifting up to 100pounds occasionally, 50pounds frequently, or 20pounds constantly may be required. Work is performed outdoors for most of the shift, with exposure to extreme heat and cold.
