Datacenter Technician

Role: L1/L2 Data Center Cabling Project Technicians

Location: The Dalles, OR (Onsite)

Duration: Contract Role

Rate: $28-32/hr on W2

Schedule: Multiple Shifts - details to come

Start: End of June/Early July 2026 - June 2027

Required Skills

Hardware installation, configuration, break/fix, and decommissioning

Familiarity with data center cabling:

Copper and fiber

Installation and troubleshooting

Ability to understand port maps and point-to-point connections

General understanding of enterprise-level data center infrastructure

Preferred Skills:

Project experience, including management or deployment

Experience with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools, such as:

OpenDCIM

Nlyte

Sunbird

Experience with ticketing systems, such as:

Remedy

RemedyForce

ServiceNow

Scope:

Inspect and clean fiber cables

Label cables on both ends with Flag Labeler

Customer to provide labeling schema

Install pre-terminated fiber cables according to provided cabling matrix

Utilize existing pathways and overhead ladder racks/ trays

Secure and organize cables

Provide the following onsite:

Fiber inspection probe

Labeler that prints flag labels

Fiber cleaning kits

Inter and Intra rack fiber
