Cook Position Our busy quick-service restaurant is looking for a cook who enjoys working in a fast-paced atmosphere. We need someone to prepare food stations, cook a large volume of food, and ensure that all food safety and storage rules are followed. Our ideal applicant has prior food industry experience, preferably in fast food, quick service, or fast casual restaurants, as well as a willingness to learn. Responsibilities Guarantee that quality food is supplied by following specified storage and waste control requirements for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products Wash, cut, dice, chop, and slice food items to stock prep stations Keep all workstations, counters, cooking equipment, and refrigerators clean and sanitary according to health and safety rules Control the grill and cook the food in accordance with the directions on the meal order slips or in verbal instructions Verify the temperature of cooked food using a thermometer to make sure it's safe to consume Qualifications Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers Ability to understand and comply with kitchen sanitation, safety and equipment usage, and food storage regulations Must have excellent time-management skills and be able to prioritize and multitask Candidates must be hardworking, detail-oriented, and have a strong work ethic Prior fast food or quick service restaurant industry experience is highly desired Compensation $17 - $18 hourly About Pennyflower Founded in 2005, Rolling Hills Hospitality operates 19 hotel properties with a central focus on exceeding the expectations of its guests.
