Calibration Technician

Trainees are expected to learn the skills and processes necessary to perform calibration work within the lab environment. Trainees will work with other technicians within the lab to learn calibration fundamentals which can include measurement, temperature, electronics, etc.ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision and direction of technicians within the lab and in training programs, learn fundamental calibration techniques and processesDevelop skills necessary to perform calibrations independentlyFulfill duties safely under working conditions, in keeping with Company requirements and standardsOther duties as assignedLearn fundamental calibration techniques and processesDevelop skills necessary to perform calibrations independentlyDevelop skills necessary to advance to Technician Apprentice position within six (6) months of employmentDeliver on Transcat's Quality Policy (QAC-F01-001)QualificationsAbility to learn new skills regarding calibration and calibration processesPrevious experience with electronic or machining trainingBasic mathematical skills including algebra, geometry, and statisticsFamiliarity with basic toolsProficiency with office computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookBasic organizational and time management skillsHigh School diploma or GEDPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
