Logistics Coordinator

Our logistics company is in need of a Logistics Coordinator for our department of operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of shipping routes and delivery, specifically with regard to customer satisfaction. We like to encourage repeat business among our customers, so we take customer service very seriously. Everyone in this department is responsible for responding immediately to customer questions and complaints and for notifying customers about any delays in the delivery schedule. Staying on top of all accounts and coordinating with other departments are essential qualities to possess in this position. Some additional tasks associated with this position are bidding on shipments, negotiating with rates with vendors, and becoming instrumental in the forward growth of the company. The position reports directly to the Operations Manager and will work directly with other departments (i.e. sales, accounting, compliance, etc.) to ensure an efficient daily workflow. Develop a proactive relationship with the assigned customer accounts by resolution of issues and concerns in a timely manner and provide innovative solutions Execute timely and profitable bids on available shipments Maintain profits through strategic negotiations Send dispatch documents to vendors Prepare accurate bills of lading Track and trace shipments Input/update various files and information into database Track and analyze mis-shipments to ensure they don’t occur again Ensure quality of all services and processes within the department High school diploma/GED required (Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics & Supply Chain, or a related field preferred) 2+ years experience in an administrative/customer service role or a related field preferred 1+ year working with an integrated cloud-based software system preferred Comfortable with working in a fast-paced and performance driven environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications with emphasis on Outlook, Excel, and Word Highly effective communication, both verbal and written Attention to detail, organizational skills, and customer-oriented Strong work ethic with a self-starter mentality Confident, enthusiastic, and a strong negotiator Hours: Full-time Schedule: Monday-Friday Position Type: Operations Paid Holidays/Vacation Workplace perks such as food, coffee, and flexible work schedules About Eagle Express Service Eagle Express provides cutting-edge shipping solutions to some of the largest nationally recognized FTL shipping companies around: FedEx, UPS, Wal-Mart, and many others; that's just the beginning.
