Safety Coordinator Details:
- Temp-to-Hire position
- $21.00 / hour
- Full Time work available
- First Shift ( Monday through Friday from 06:00am to 04:30pm )
- Conduct workplace safety inspections and identify hazards.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies.
- Deliver employee safety training, including topics such as Lockout/Tagout, PPE, and hazard communication.
- Investigate workplace incidents and near misses, then develop corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain safety records, reports, and regulatory documentation. Lead or participate in safety committee meetings and audits.
- Work with supervisors and employees to improve safe work practices.
- Stop unsafe work when necessary and ensure corrective actions are implemented
Safety Coordinator Qualifications:
- Experience or education related to occupational safety, environmental health, or industrial hygiene.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations; EPA knowledge is often preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety reporting systems is commonly expected
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
