Middle School Experience Student Success Advocate: Canton MS/ Eastview MS/ Hawk Hollow MS/ Legacy MS/ Tefft MS Professional Learning: August 11 (4 hours) Date: August 12 and 13. Staff hours: 7:45 am m to 12:15 pm Student School Day: 8 am to 12 noon Summer Experiences Rate: The employee will receive their regular rate of pay unless they are new to the position. If the candidate is new to the position the starting hourly rate is $19.78. Position / Title: Student Success Advocate – Middle School Experience Bargaining Unit: SUM Department/Location: Office of Schools and Equity & Innovation Calendar Days: 3 Reports To: Middle School Assistant Principal JD Revision Date: 01/09/2026 Supervises: N/A Function / Position Summary The prevention, mitigation, response and recoveryfor safety and security at secondary schools. Assist in the administrative functions of the Dean's/Principal's office. Supervision of cafeteria, hallways and other public areas on school grounds, with a focus student safety and security of the building and property Job Duties / Responsibilities Ability to interact in different situations. Ability to communicate clearly and precisely under stressful conditions. Supervision in maintaining an orderly atmosphere, which is conducive to educational development and individual growth. Support the administration in the implementation of district and school regulations and policy. This includes but is not limited to enforcing and monitoring dress code, ID compliance, pass privileges, visitors, school assemblies, before and after school security, bus arrivals and/or departures, lunchroom, parking lot, escorting students in the building, and other assigned areas. Supervision of behavior management in the halls, bathrooms, office, classroom, grounds and extra-curricular programs and events. Take all reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, staff and facilities. Work professionally and cooperatively with administration, colleagues, and school personnel. Supervision of conflict resolution and crisis intervention. Assist in investigations, translations (if applicable), and staff consultations. Assist with emergency response management according to District procedures and as directed by the principal/designee. Education High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bilingual – Spanish/English (written/verbal) preferred. Experience / Knowledge Ability to work with high school students Physical Demands Requires prolonged sitting or standing. Occasionally requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push objects or materials up to 30 lbs. with proper technique. Terms of Employment This is a temporary position. Salary and benefits as established by the Board of Education.
