This role is responsible for timely, accurate processing of financial data in support of monthly financial reporting requirements for two legal entities. In addition, this role is a key contributor to audits and User Acceptance Testing activities.Major Role Accountabilities:Support on-time monthly financial closings for multiple legal entitiesSupport parent company inquiries and reporting requirements (banking, trial balance, tax, etc.)Reconciliation of sub-ledgers and balance sheet accounts with timely remediation of open itemsOversee timely processing of accounting documents and journal entriesKey contributor to one or more accounting activities (A/R, A/P, Sales/Use Tax, Purchase Orders, etc)Coordinate and execute trainings in support of F&A policiesEnsure Job Aids are maintained and designated backups are properly trainedLead and support audits and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)Key Competencies:Strong understanding of GAAP and audit requirementsAbility to work both independently and with others in a team environmentProficient at time management and determining procedure cost-effectivenessStrong problem solving and analytical ability, with high level of accuracy and attention to detailCourteous and collaborative business partner with vendors, customers, and all levels of employeesComfortable learning and applying systems, reporting, and workflow tools to improve accuracy, efficiency, and consistency of accounting processesContinuous improvement mindset with ability to identify practical opportunities to simplify recurring accounting work and strengthen documentationExperience, Education and Credentials:Accounting Degree preferred3+ years accounting experience in Accounts Payables including multi-state sales & use tax filingsERP system experience, Microsoft Business Central strongly preferred.Intermediate to advanced level skills with Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams); experience with Power Query, Power Automate, or similar workflow and reporting tools preferredExperience supporting process documentation, system testing, reporting improvements, or practical automation of recurring accounting activities preferredThe target pay range for this role is $28.00 - $30.00 per hour. The pay range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
