Operating Room Nurse

The operating room nurse is responsible for scrubbing and/or circulating duties for operative procedures. They oversee department admissions to the operative suite. They adhere to standards and appropriate aseptic techniques. They consult and coordinate with team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care plans. They serve as a communication liaison to patients, families, and members of the operating team. They prepare the operating room for the patient and surgical procedure. They assemble equipment and supplies, ensuring that equipment is functional and supplies/implants are available.
