Staff Accountant
Our client is a growing nursing home group with a strong reputation for resident-centered care across multiple facilities. They're looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their finance team and help keep operations running smoothly behind the scenes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions including AP/AR, journal entries, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and assist with month-end and year-end close
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes across multiple facilities
- Ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations and internal controls
- Collaborate with facility administrators and department heads on financial reporting
- Assist with audits and provide documentation as needed
Qualifications:
Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 13 years of accounting experience
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Nice to Have
- Experience in healthcare or long-term care accounting
- Familiarity with Medicaid/Medicare billing and reimbursement
- CPA track or active CPA candidate
