Position Housekeeping Leader Division: Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) Location: 2800 North Highway 87, Coolidge, Arizona 85128 Posting Details Salary: $38,000.00 – $41,000.00 Grade: 11 Closing Date: July 22, 2026 Job Summary The Department of Economic Security (DES), Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), seeks an experienced and motivated individual to coordinate housekeeping duties and lead a team. The role ensures daily cleaning and sanitization of the spaces occupied by staff, members and visitors. As the Housekeeping Leader, you will oversee the cleaning performance in assigned program areas and buildings, provide team instruction and training, and manage supplies and workflows. Applicants for this position must meet agency restrictions regarding licensing, vendor relationships, and related disclosures. Job Duties Strip, mop, wax tile or linoleum floors; disinfect and maintain floor finishes; clean and sanitize bathrooms; replenish supplies; scrub walls; clean windows and sills; vacuum carpets; manage trash and sanitary conditions; disinfect doors and door handles. Ensure daily cleaning and sanitization of spaces occupied by staff, members, and visitors. Provide team instruction, training, and track supplies. Dust furniture, equipment, walls, and light fixtures; disinfect dining room furniture and other surfaces; maintain housekeeping equipment. Assist with moving equipment and furniture as needed. Ensure day activity areas are cleaned and sanitized each morning before residents enter the building or rooms. Clean exterior areas including patios, walkways, cigarette butt receptacles, and floormats. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs) Knowledge in sanitary and safety standards relating to infection control; occupational hazards and safety measures in cleaning; types and usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies. Skills in providing verbal instructions, proper lifting techniques, time management, and operating floor machines and vacuums. Abilities to read and write English, understand and follow directions, work with staff to meet team goals, organize duties, apply safety procedures, and be self-motivated. Selective Preference The ideal candidate will have housekeeping experience using and mixing various professional cleaning chemicals (preferred). Pre-Employment Requirements If the position requires driving, possess and maintain a valid driver’s license; complete required training and background checks; maintain liability insurance as necessary. Valid Level One fingerprint clearance card to work with children and vulnerable adults. Subject to searches of the Department of Child Safety Central Registry and the Adult Protective Services Registry.
