ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned)

• Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery, and service schedules
• Serve meals or prepare for delivery using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty; taste all prepared food items
• Use established ticket collection procedures during service; responsible for records from area worked during service periods
• Clean kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standard of cleanliness; store or discard excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
• Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat; ensure food and supply items are stored per standards
• Perform job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
• Support an excellent dining experience for all guests
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed
• Report needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately
• Attend in-service and safety meetings
• Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, and managers
• Assist in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required
• Assist in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required
• Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as Cook, preferably in a large, fast-paced kitchen
• ServSafe / Food Handler Certification
• Proficiency with MS Office and email
• Ability to lift and carry 30 pounds
