Yard Helper / Lumber Yard Associate
We’re hiring a dependable Yard Helper / Lumber Yard Associate to assist with loading, unloading, organizing, and preparing lumber and building materials. This is a hands-on, physical position for someone who enjoys working outdoors and staying active throughout the day.
What You’ll Do
Load and unload lumber, building materials, and customer orders
Organize and stock lumber, plywood, and construction supplies
Prepare orders for customer pickup and delivery
Assist customers with locating and loading materials
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other yard equipment as trained
Inspect materials for damage or shortages
Assist drivers and warehouse employees as needed
Keep the yard clean, organized, and safe
Perform general labor and basic yard maintenance
Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
Previous lumber yard, warehouse, construction, or general labor experience preferred
Forklift experience is a plus
Comfortable performing physical work throughout the shift
Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Dependable with a strong work ethic
Good attention to detail and safety
Comfortable assisting customers and working as part of a team
