Job Summary: Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) in Wausau, Wisconsin. This role supports a 12-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit providing care for post-operative heart patients and critically ill cardiac populations. Candidates must bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour Days (07001930), with a minimum of 36 hours per week; every 23 weekends (Friday/Saturday/Sunday), and every other holiday
• Required Qualifications: Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Associate Degree or Certificate; minimum of 2 years with cardiac experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification; Bachelors Degree; charting experience with Epic (EPIC); experience with Swan-Ganz (Swan) and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) skills
• Responsibilities: Provide cardiac critical care including post-operative heart care, Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI), and cardiogenic shock; assist with frequent cardioversions and with lines placed and discontinued in-unit; manage patient care needs such as Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) and Impella support; float to other inpatient units as needed (typically critical care and acute care cluster)
• Additional Information: Picking up call is permitted but not required; if picking up call, response time is 1 hour. The contract may include low census unbillable hours in 4-hour increments, and the unit could request working only 4 or 8 hours of a shift when needed.
