Dialysis Clinical Manager Registered Nurse - RN

Sign‑on bonus available for this position. As a Clinical Manager with Fresenius Medical Care, you will ensure quality patient care is delivered while maintaining clinical operations and leading the dialysis facility. Career Development As part of the Clinical Leadership Program, you’ll receive a curriculum covering onboarding, essential functions, leading your business and advanced leadership. Upon completion, you may advance to an Area Team Lead or Director of Operations role. Purpose and Scope Manage and oversee the daily operations of the facility, ensuring cost‑effective service and compliance with all legal, regulatory and company requirements. Collaborate with the Medical Director and the Clinical Manager/Charge Nurse to provide high‑quality patient care from admission to discharge. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Clinic Operations Provide leadership, coaching and development plans for all direct reports. Partner with Human Resources, Quality, Education and Technical Services. Collaborate with the Home Therapies Program Manager to oversee the home therapies program. Maintain integrity of medical and operations records and comply with all auditing activities. Accountable for ICD coding and required network reporting. Manage short‑ and long‑term objectives, including cost, methods and staffing. Administer daily operations, including staff, quality, plant maintenance and inventory control. Manage profit and loss and other financial aspects to meet budget and KPIs. Patient Care Coordinate all patient care aspects from admission to discharge. Act as a resource for patients and families. Ensure timely completion of assessments and care plans. Manage patient schedules to maintain facility efficiency. Report changes in patient status, clinical, insurance or transportation issues. Staff Participate in selection, hiring, orientation and mandatory training of new staff. Ensure completion of training courses and current licensures/certifications. Support clinical staff growth and conduct annual goal setting and performance evaluations. Maintain knowledge of company benefits, policies and procedures. Document disciplinary actions and coordinate with Human Resources and the Director of Operations. Manage staff scheduling and payroll. Physicians Facilitate physician privilege applications and compliance with Medical Staff By‑Laws. Maintain strong physician relationships and ensure regular communication. Participate in the interdisciplinary governing body for each region. Other Responsibilities Provide oversight and collaborate with the Clinical Manager/Charge RN and Medical Director on direct patient care. Coordinate patient care from admission to discharge and address patient concerns. Develop efficient patient schedules and assist with workflow. Implement and maintain Continuous Quality Improvement and Quality Assessment and Improvement programs. Review operations for compliance with federal and state laws. Support and drive company quality standards through regulatory requirements and CQI practices. Ensure adequate training and compliance with risk management initiatives. Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, conduct performance reviews and set annual goals. Manage discipline, hiring, firing and related documentation. Maintain accurate documentation of licensure, in‑services and policy updates. Lead staff development and professional growth opportunities. Coordinate facility maintenance, security and inventory management. Ensure efficient use of medication, laboratory, supplies and equipment to meet cost goals. Assist in billing, payroll, contract reviews and vendor services. Participate in internal and external surveys and other required inspections. Physical Demands & Working Conditions Desk and computer work; interaction with patients, staff and physicians. Work in a controlled temperature healthcare environment. Frequent prolonged standing and ability to bend; occasional assistance moving patients and equipment up to 200lb. May require travel to regional, Business Unit and Corporate meetings. Education Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing (RN) with current state licensure. Experience and Required Skills Experience in clinical nursing. Minimum 6 months of chronic or acute dialysis nursing experience. Demonstrated leadership and management competencies, including communication, customer service, continuous quality improvement, relationship development, results orientation, team building, employee motivation, performance management and decision making. Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and deliver maximum quality care to all patients. Passed the Ishihara Color Blind Test. Preferred Qualifications Supervisory/management role experience in a medical facility. Experience in Med/Surg or ICU/CCU settings. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and medical database software.
