Job Description

* Continental Rotation: day / night - 6:30 to 6:30 or 7:00 to 7:00

• Perform electrical preventative maintenance functions to keep production and electrical equipment operational
• Respond quickly to any calls from production to keep electrical equipment operational and ensure production runs smoothly
• Receive and complete electrical work orders as well as preventative maintenance work orders when assigned by maintenance team leader
• Sign and date all completed work orders and PMs; record all problems or observations that should be brought to the attention of the team leader
• Make sure all food safety standards are followed
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic failures on various types of machines
• Select, install, and repair busways, flexible and rigid conduit, cable trough wire, and communication wires
• Read, interpret and revise ladder logic, distribution, and fluid power drawings
• Work in a safe and efficient manner

Qualifications

* Red Seal Electrician license (442A or 309A)
* Refrigeration Operator Class B ticket an asset
* 5 yrs+ experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food industry
* Experience working with A/B-PLCs and VFDs
* Experience working with Fanuc robots an asset
* Knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Manufacturing) an asset
* Able to perform skills required of the trade while obeying safety and GMP rules
* Able to work with minimal supervision
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Computer skills
* Troubleshooting skills
* Track record of good attendance
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment equally well
* Able to occasionally work in confined spaces or in refrigerated areas where temperatures as low as -40F
