Contract | Nights (3x12-Hour Shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite | 13–26 Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Neurology unit with a focus on general medicine and neurological diagnoses
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6, delivering safe and effective care using a teamwork-based approach
• Utilize Pyxis for medication administration, EPIC for documentation, and SBAR for clinical communication
• Float to other units within the facility as required, with travelers floating first
• Fulfill weekend shift requirements, averaging every other weekend (5–6 weekend shifts per contract)
• Be available to serve on a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team and report to work during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters as required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a valid Compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Commitment to patient safety and a teamwork-oriented approach to care
• Willingness to float within and near the facility per assignment requirements

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIH Stroke Scale certification or experience
• Prior neurology nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience in or willingness to learn the charge nurse role
