Job Summary
The organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Trauma and General Surgery Inpatient Unit located in Morgantown, West Virginia. This unit functions as a high-impact, fast-paced environment specializing in complex wound care, traumatic injuries, and surgical conditions, including trauma level 1 cases. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day.

Job Details

• Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
• Specialty: Step Down Unit
• Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM; 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Certifications: BLS Certification is required
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license (willing to wait for licensure); minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; Epic experience; Level 1 trauma experience; 1:6 patient ratio experience; ability to manage complex wound care, drains, devices, traumatic injuries, chest tubes, respiratory support, TBIs, and complex spinal cord injuries.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC electronic medical records and complex trauma cases.
• Additional Information: The candidate must have experience with titration of non-pressor drips (such as insulin, Cardizem, etc., non-pressor medications on the step-down unit). Floating to similar units may be required. The unit operates in a high-impact, multi-condition environment with a collaborative team approach, including available RTs (respiratory therapists) and monitor techs. The staff may be scheduled into the holiday rotation as needed.
