The Paramedic performs direct patient care within the scope of the Texas Paramedic/EMT Practice Act, and utilizes therapeutic communication in daily practice. The Paramedic also maintains a safe and therapeutic environment, and identifies nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient. He/she participates in performance improvement activities to assure continuous quality improvement, and provides care and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospital's mission statement.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, or Paramedic must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
